The ‘Ideal’ range of Sabatier knives by Thiers-Issard are forged from tempered high quality stainless steel* using traditional methods and sharpened by hand.
The riveted handle is made from Stamina wood, a tough engineered beech wood which is tinted, then impregnated with phenolic resin and compressed under high pressure and heat. The result is an exceptionally hard-wearing material that can be worked with woodworking tools, then sanded and buffed to a high luster.
